In MORTAL FEEL, sleepdepth, now SOMNO PROFUNDANTE · 솜노 프로푼단테, attempts to extinguish all light. Whereas R F △ I I T V was made with something approaching a spiritual purpose, in this release we placed all focus on the body, on the earth, on the motions of energy. As this denial of the spirit became apparent, Satanic purpose undulated underneath as we recognized a shared spirit within the Norwegian Black Metal dissonance and the violent, sleazy occultism of witchsploitation and Eurohorror.

The release encompasses 7 Trax, one for each Fulcian Gateway to Hell.

WILLOWBROOK arrives from the Frizzi tradition,in platforms and rags, with descending arpeggios draped over the ghosts of howling Innocents. The name comes from the Willowbrook State School as documented by Geraldo Rivera in 1972.

MORTAL FEEL serves as a tribute to a personal Ur-Song. When we were a very small child, our mother would play original cast recordings of The Phantom of the Opera. The minor keys and filtered organs moved us to sing in two voices. While we cribbed no riffs for this, we tried to capture the romantic doom of that we felt and sang to ourselves.

Included in the album download is a rip of the cassette, which is a vastly different character, full of saturation and hiss. I don't do Dolby.
